For the past 35 years, I've been a systems thinker and builder, dedicated to helping people and organizations navigate meaningful change. My journey began with a Ph.D. in Psychology, alongside an M.A. and M.B.A., which grounded me in both the human and strategic dimensions of transformation. From leading large-scale initiatives at global consultancies to serving as a Vice President of Transformation at a major financial institution, my career has been defined by a focus on the unseen forces that shape us.
From Boardrooms to Bedrooms & Bathrooms: The Psychology of Space
Early in my career, I explored the psychology of space habitats, sparking a lifelong fascination: how do our environments—physical, emotional, and social—influence our energy? This question has guided my work across disciplines, from authoring three books on change and leadership to developing the Human Energy Resonance Model. This model provides a framework for understanding how our emotional, cognitive, physical, and spiritual energies are shaped by the spaces we inhabit. It’s not just a theory; it’s a practical lens to help us realign our lives.
My Focus on Home & Garden
My transition to the home and garden space is a natural culmination of this lifelong inquiry. My work has always blended theory with practical application. I've built and remodeled spaces for as long as I can remember, driven by the belief that our environments are a powerful tool for well-being. My practical experience is supported by key certifications, including:
Certified Aging in Place Specialist (CAPS): This designation from the National Association of Home Builders provides a deep understanding of the modifications needed to help people live safely and independently in their homes as they age.
Gerontology & Healthy Aging: These studies inform my understanding of the physical, emotional, and social needs of an aging population, ensuring my recommendations are evidence-based and holistic.
Design & Ecological Thinking: My education at the San Francisco Institute of Architecture enables me to approach home and garden design with a focus on sustainability, accessibility, and the inter-connectedness of our environments.
This unique blend of credentials—from organizational psychology and strategic change to certified expertise in aging in place and home design—provides a unique perspective. I don't just see a house; I see a dynamic system of energies, and I have the tools and experience to help you align that system to live a more vibrant, intentional life. EnergyWithin is where all of this expertise comes together to help you transform what's possible, right where you live.
